Chinese New Year Show

春节

Jinlong brings one of the biggest Chinese calendar events to the UK audience every year.

CNY 2025

Touring across the country, ‘Chinese New Year Extravaganza’ features a team of performers showcasing amazing Chinese performing arts. From the cheerful spirit of the auspicious Lion Dance, to the majestic and awe-inspiring contortion, the show is a colourful display of Chinese cultural tradition.

The first theatre production Chinese New Year Extravaganza (2008) - visited Stockport Plaza Theatre with the support from Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council and Chinese/Kaifeng Cultural Bureau. Since then the annually touring production has visited 15 other towns and cities around the UK.
